Education

Master of Arts

Wayne State University, James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and Art History.     Concentration: Graphic Design. GPA: 3.92

The foundation of my graduate studies is considered to be substantially conceptual in description and my processes are no means intended to be traditional or standardized. This observable investigative progression enabled me to interpret my interests which enabled me to reflect upon my own processes and work as a designer. Throughout my experiences in graduate school I discovered the core significance of my process development, progression and practice lies unassumingly in the activity of research, experimentation, and most of all, creating. It is through that act of creation that I continue to question and sustain my imagination, which influences and motivates me as a designer and artist. I used this opportunity to understand how and what it meant to investigate and explore– to push the limits and to be experimental in a way that I had not done so before.

Bachelor of Fine Arts

Wayne State University, James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and Art History.     Concentration: Graphic Design. GPA: 3.65

The Graphic Design Program at WSU enabled me to become an innovative, intelligent and responsible designer. The program taught me to think broadly about design, to focus on the informational and problem-solving nature of graphic design and to visualize their design ideas. As a graduate of the program, I was prepared to work professionally with variety of opportunities in design– including areas such as publication design, multimedia design, instructional material design, package design, web page design and architectural signage.

Associate in Art

Henry Ford Community College.     Concentration: Graphic Design.

The graphic design program at HFCC taught me to establish the conceptual and stylistic direction for design projects and to orchestrate work. I also learned other disciplines related to graphic design such as typography, photography, illustration, prepress printing, web and interactive design.
