In Seoul, Republic of Korea, the Chenggyecheon Stream existed as a hidden, small neglected waterway hidden by freeway overpasses. The stream was daylighted (a method for local governments to improve stormwater management and water quality) and was restored in 2005, which brought about a positive influence by improving the atmospheric environment in the region.
